Martin Behle is an Executive Vice President and a member of the Commercial Board at METRO AG, he is responsible for the METRO countries Germany and Austria as well as various subsidiaries including METRO Advertising, METRO Gastro Equipment Holding and METRO Financial Services. Further he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of METRO Germany and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of METRO International Holding. Martin spent the last 25 years in various management functions within the Foodservice industry, e.g working at Welbilt (formerly Manitowoc Foodservice). Amongst other duties he focused on M&A, R&D, manufacturing process and technology exploration. Martin holds a Doctoral Degree in Thermodynamics of the University of Bochum. His passions are cooking, wine, astrophysics and running. He sees the food service industry as the most inspiring and emotional business sector he can think of.
